Sunflowers

Garen grew a field of sunflowers this year. He had great success as you can see from the pictures.

He picks a few every Sunday and gives them to women in the church. Needless to say, he is winning the hearts of many.

His favorite color is orange so he was most pleased to get the orange sunflowers to grow so well. This was a heirloom varity called Velvet Queen that we got from Bakers Creek Heiroom Seeds at www.rareseeds.com.
